So I had this grand scheme of how I was going to post everyday in August, and start it out with a long drawn out series/thingy introduction.
Then I didn’t even look here yesterday.
Oops.
Oh, well, things are so crazy around here anyways, I probably wouldn’t have made it a week.
To review the not-officially-or-even-unofficially-agreed-upon schedule -
This weekend [...]

I woke up this morning with this post in my head, so I’ll hope if comes out articulately.
You may notice that I haven’t really been talking about adoption lately. I don’t know if I’m avoiding it or numbing it or doing something equally unhealthy… or if I’m simply just letting it be.
That’s not to say [...]

As I so often put it, I’m from Small-City Indiana. Up until I headed off to college, our biggest move was across town. There was a high likelihood that most of the people I met knew my parents or grandparents or knew someone who knew them.
Contrast that to Jeff who has moved more times than [...]

We’ve been back in Lafayette for a few hours now. I’ve been skimming blogs and stuff, not really reading as much as I would like, but as much as I can. It’s always hard to be computerless for multiple days because so many people write stuff and I get so bogged down and behind.

My mom came up to Lafayette yesterday. When my sister moved she decided that she didn’t like the comforter that she had. Jeff had an old one from when we were still attending Purdue and sleeping in twin beds. And it was black, which is my sister’s favorite-est color ever. So we offered her that [...]

I just wrote a huge reply/comment to a post that Jen made about her daughter’s firstdad. I thought I’d bring my thought processes back over here so I can expound aka babble more and not take up her space. Sound good?
Like I said in my comment, I really struggle with Jeff and who he’s told [...]

His eyes they closed and his last breath spoke
He had seen all to be seen
A life once full, now an empty vase
Wilt the blossoms on his early grave
Walk away me boy, walk away me boy
And by mornin’ we’ll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what’s left of the flag for me
Then [...]

Errr… looks like I owe some posts here. Oops.
Let me take you back about a week and a half, so I can bring you up to speed on … well all sorts of stuff.
Permitted.
I got my driving learner’s permit renewed again. It only took over an hour and three computer glitches. Every time, they sent [...]

The weekend was fun… and full.
I’ve got so much to blog about, so many different things running around in my head.
So I’m not blogging until I’m calmed down.
But I’ll give you a basic rundown:
I got my Driver’s Permit renewed.
My best friend is pregnant.
Russ and Brynn’s cats are cute.
Jeff and I are in engaged.
