Now don’t get me wrong. I love my job, it certainly is not The Job That Made Me Hate Stuff. I really think I have a niche at the church, and I do some stuff that I feel really good about. And the people are nice, and my boss is generous with praise.
But really…
Really… What [...]

Not Alone, But Not How I Wanted To Find Another Birthmom

I don’t know V. I’ve never met her. Other than the stuff I’m about to post about and the basic information in the church records, I know very, very little about her.
Her mom is one of the more influential women in the church. Both her parents and her younger brother are talented vocalists, and [...]

Doing It All Over Again.

Well, I have to say that I’ve been meaning to sit-down and blog for at least a week, but I just haven’t found the time or the energy. I’ve gone into “Lurker-Mode” on most of the blogs I read, and really it make me said to see myself withdrawing there.
Wedding stress, combined with work stress, [...]

Where Did I Go?

So, I haven’t posted in 10 days. Sorry about that.
My general excuse is that work’s been crazy, I’ve been crazy and, oh yeah, Wednesday I had a 100.6 degree fever, but I still kept pushing along in my craziness.
I’ve felt a bit dead this weekend.
Some of it is probably residuals from Wednesday’s cold/flu/illness-with-nausea-fever-congestions-aches-and-tiredness.
On the other [...]

Sometimes Adoption is Like That Proverbial “Bar” in Bad Jokes
Category: A Wench in the Workforce, Angewa's Complexity of Faith, First-Mommy Angewa, Reforming Adoption | Leave a Comment
You know the one that two guys walk into, but the third one ducks? Yes, I know. It’s a terrible joke.
Anyways. Believe it or not I don’t come across “Adoption-Related” stuff that much in my job. But when it does, kinda like that bar, I feel a bit smacked upside the head.
I’m not saying that [...]

*Chirp*
Category: A Wench in the Workforce, Just Ang, Techno-blabber | Leave a Comment
Somewhere in or around my office at work, there is a something that has started chirping. Like smoke-detector with dying batteries chirping.
But we checked my smoke detector. And my computer. And the copier. And my PDA.
And the smoke detector that’s shoved in the back of one of the drawers in the cabinets because there’s [...]

Anxiety Over Exposing Me

My birthday weekend wasn’t bad. Jeff cooked which is always delicious. We went to Feast of the Hunter’s Moon here in the Lafayette/Tippecanoe County Area. Then we drove up to Michigan to Jeff’s Aunt Martha’s resort/retreat.
This morning at work was insane. We got a memorial bequest (of the large monetary variety) so the deposit was [...]

I’ve been meaning to post, and yet I haven’t really been motivated too. I’ve been meaning to do lots of stuff, yet I didn’t get a lot accomplished over the last week. Laundry would be a prime example of this.
I’m not sure if I’ll post tomorrow or not. I just don’t know how I’ll feel. [...]

Previously tentatively titled “99 Updates to Post on this Blog, 99 Updates to post…” but I didn’t think I’d get a full 99, but let’s still count shall we?
1. The Baby Shower was this past Saturday. It went well (according to Sara). I was left a bit frazzled by the end of it, between my [...]

Packed? What is This “Packed” You Speak Of?

*sound of head hitting desk*
We leave for GenCon this afternoon. I’ve been scrambling like a madwoman to try to get everything set up so I don’t feel like a gigantic jerk for taking a vacation break my third week on the job. (It’s not working that well, but I’m trying.)
Jeff helped me finish stuffing envelopes [...]
