Angela



Born October 12th, 1983 and raised in Southern Indiana, the biggest geographical move Angela’s made was to attend college in the Northern half of the state. After 3 1/2 years of frustration without any general feeling of direction (plus an ongoing parade of majors that just didn’t work), she simply did not register for the Spring semester, walking away from what used to be a “neatly planned” life.

She and Jeff moved in together and she got a job as a Night Clerk in a university residence hall. The benefits were good, and the pay was ok, but she spent a good amount of time looking for a job that didn’t make her want to drill patterns into her skull with an electric screwdriver. In February of 2007, she hit the ejector seat button and left that job for the sake of her sanity. After stretching and squeezing budgets and wallets for six months, she started a new job as the Church Administrative Assistant (aka the Church Secretary) to a local United Church of Christ church in August of 2007. She can’t believe her luck in stumbling upon a position that she truly enjoys and feels validated in. She’s also actually used some of the information she learned in college and has designed ads for the church that ran in the local paper.

She’s a hopeless romantic, an avid reader, an amateur photographer and a random doodler. She’s also a First-Mom.

A what?

A First-Mom. More commonly known as a birthmother. Jeff and Angela had a little girl on October 1st, 2006. Unfortunately due to several circumstances, they didn’t feel that they could be adequate parents at that time. So, they placed her for adoption with Jeff’s sister and her family. They love her very much, even though they aren’t raising her.
